Learn all about our school programs at EcoMarines.
Thanks to State Government funding, Council partnerships and the generous support of our corporate sponsors, The EcoMarines Program is delivered at no cost to the school. This includes all resources, workshops and the support of the EcoMarines staff.
Yes! EcoMarines is a very flexible and engaging program. We work with schools who are at all different stages of their sustainability journey and are able to help them plan their projects, organise their resources, connect with local organisations such as councils and environmental groups. Our team can also help your school to connect with other EcoMarines schools and EcoMarines teachers, thus creating a network of environmental leaders.
EcoMarines is a fully inclusive program. The flexible nature of this environmental education program means that schools can choose the projects and activities that will best work for them and their students. Engagement and participation is driven by the school and fully supported by the EcoMarines team.
The EcoMarines program offers a range of activities, challenges and competitions. Schools can choose which ones best fit their location, time constraints and environmental goals. The EcoMarines team will be able to provide your school with all the information you need to help you decide which activities and challenges you want to participate in, and how to get the most out of each opportunity, engaging the rest of your school and local community.
The program has been developed to be an inclusive experience and schools have the opportunity to create their own support crew. The team from EcoMarines can help you to develop a support crew and engage with interested students. Often students who start out as support crew go on to be future ambassadors.
The EcoMarines program is designed to be a whole of school engagement. Whilst the team will primarily work with the designated teacher and school ambassadors, we at EcoMarines want to support your school in your sustainability journey. This includes providing information and support around opportunities to engage with the whole school and wider community through local events.
The EcoMarines program runs annually alongside the school calendar. Registrations can happen any time during the year. Once you have registered, your school will be provided with support from the team to get you set up.
